Functional Nutrition goes beyond macronutrient and calorie counting. We explore the interconnectedness of the body's systems, emphasizing a holistic approach in order to design personalized protocols that utilize nutrition and lifestyle modification to address the root causes to your concerns. My goal is to help you learn how to best nourish your body in a way that is sustainable so that you can achieve long-term health benefits. My protocols do not encourage weighing or counting.
In your initial consultation, we will dive into your health history, lifestyle, specific concerns and health goals. This comprehensive evaluation enables me to create a personalized protocol tailored to your unique needs. I prioritize open communication, ensuring you actively participate in the decision-making process.
I don’t just aim to mask symptoms—I work to uncover and address the root causes of your digestive issues. Together, we’ll implement personalized nutrition and lifestyle strategies, along with targeted supplements to support and optimize your digestive function. When appropriate, I also offer specialized testing, including GI MAP gut microbiome testing and food sensitivity panels, to identify hidden imbalances that may be contributing to your symptoms.
I take a root-cause approach that looks at the powerful connection between gut health, diet, hormones and skin. In fact, healing my own adult acne is what inspired me to become a Functional Nutritionist and gut health specialist!
I’ll create a personalized protocol that may include targeted dietary changes, supplements, and lifestyle shifts to support clear, radiant skin from the inside out.
Absolutely. My personalized protocols are designed to support healthy weight management by addressing key factors that may be contributing to weight loss resistance, including gut health and digestion, metabolism, detoxification, blood sugar balance, hormones, diet, movement, and lifestyle. My goal is to help you understand how to best fuel your body and develop sustainable habits that promote overall well-being—not just quick fixes that focus solely on weight loss.

That said, I’m not a weight loss coach. If you’re looking for a program focused on calorie or macronutrient counting with strict accountability, my approach may not align with your needs. Instead, I focus on holistic strategies that encourage long-term health and balance.
I do not work with individuals who have a current eating disorder, as this requires specialized training and support. In these cases, I’ll refer you to a qualified practitioner who is experienced in this area to ensure you receive the care you deserve.
I want to be transparent that optimizing nutrition specifically for vegetarians and vegans is not my expertise. If you are open to incorporating some animal products into your diet like eggs and fish, I would be more than happy to work together and provide tailored support based on your preferences and health goals. The timeline for seeing results varies based on individual factors, including the complexity of your health concerns and your commitment to the recommended protocols. My goal is to empower you with sustainable strategies that contribute to long-term well-being.

Follow-up consultations are typically scheduled based on your progress and individual needs. These sessions allow us to assess your response to the protocol, make any necessary adjustments, and provide ongoing support to help you achieve your health goals. With that said, I usually recommend at least a 3 month commitment where we meet 1x/month in order for you to get the most out of our time working together.
